Summary
[Seller’s full legal name], an individual operating MathMe, is responsible for your personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We collect only what we need to run your account, save your work and bill you. We do not sell personal data or show advertising.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID.
- Your work: projects you save to the cloud, their pictures, and projects you share with a class.
- Usage counts: how many exports, geometry jobs and AI messages you use each day or month, and when you last signed in, so that plan limits work.
- Billing: the name, state, mobile number and (optional) GSTIN you give at checkout, and the payment and invoice records. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to Cashfree; we never receive them.
- Enquiries: the details you send in the Campus or Enterprise form.
- AI chat: the messages you type into the AI helper.
Projects you keep “on this device” stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Why we use it
- to sign you in and keep you signed in;
- to save and sync your projects and let your class see what you share;
- to apply your plan’s limits;
- to take payments, issue invoices and meet tax and accounting law;
- to send receipts, renewal reminders and replies to your enquiries;
- to keep the service secure and fix problems.
Who helps us run MathMe
These companies process data on our behalf, only for the purposes above:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and file storage;
- Google: sign-in;
- Cashfree Payments: payments and mandates;
- Resend: email delivery;
- Anthropic: answers for the AI helper (only the messages you send it);
- [geometry hosting provider]: the server that measures, joins and cuts shapes.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. MathMe also keeps your device projects and settings in your browser’s storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children and schools
If you are under 18, we process your data with the consent of a parent, guardian or your school. Through a Campus licence, the school decides who joins its class and teachers can see the names and email addresses of students in their class and the projects students share with it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and projects while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your projects and profile within 30 days. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. Enquiries are kept for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to the grievance officer below; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
